Not So Bad After All!

After spending the last few years with a perfessional dislike for Vin Diesel, I have changed my mind. Being a gamer, and hearing about how great the Chronicles of Riddick game for Xbox was going to be, I figured I'd check it out, and while I was at it I'll watch Pitch Black. And all in all, Pitch Black was a good movie, not great, but very good. And The game was one of the best I've played since the Grand Theft Auto's.

I cannot stand movies about stupid things, with that in mind, you can see why I don't give a shit about movies about fast cars (The Fast and the Furious). I also hate pointless lame action movies about a hero who saves the day and does crazy action things involving cars (The very misleading title, xXx). Fuck that.

Mr. Diesel declined the sequels to both shitty movies, is making one based on the pretty cool Riddick charactor, and has his own vido game company, cool guy. My only advice would be to stay away from any more shitty movies, no matter how big the paycheck is. The first few shitty movies earned you enough, so just make money making good movies and video games, stay away from the shitty ones.

I watched G4TV or the old name TechTV the other night and seen the making of The Chronicles video game....simple put Awesome. I'm glad that Vin Diesel was able to do the voice over and his own motion capture to ensure his body movements were acurate. I remember a few years back, when Vin Diesel played a private in the Army in a little hit movie called Saving Private Ryan--with Tom Hanks. Is he and other like him to become the Sylvester and Arnold of a new generation? More good info on Mr Diesel can be found at the Link.
