The Crap I'm subjected to everyday via radio waves
I was watching Fox News the other day, and just has they finished up there how great a leader bush is story, I heard them say "next up, we'll discuss the results of American Idol" or something to that extent. Having a personal dislike for American Idol or any kind of idiotic show like it, I just figuered it was Fox News hyping up a Fox show. No suprise. Then a few hours later, I tone into MSNBC. And what do I see coming up after the break? Results and Discussion of American Fucking Idol!! What the fuck!?!
American Idol results on news programs? Give me a goddamn break. Goes to show you how corrupt the Media is when there are hundreds more important stories out there that could be covered, but instead it's about a crappy singer getting voted off a crappy show. Pathetic. Why not give results for other shows? Why not have WWE Smackdown! Results, What happened on The Shield Tuesday, or show Highlights of Chapelle's Show or South Park? If your going to waste news time with what happened on TV shows, they might has well make it good ones.
On E! there are shows where Melissa and Joan Rivers and a couple of Queers discuss what celebrities are wearing, and how good or bad they look. And on a side note, When I say queer I don't mean it in the I hate queers way before I get any idiots saying that's anti-gay or any of that bullshit. I'm just not going to use soft language to describe something. I don't give a shit if anyone's gay, there buisness and it doesn't concern me in any way, shape, or form. Anyhow...
I will never understand why people can watch such stupid shit like this. George Carlin said it, and I can relate so I'll steal his line here. I have this real moronic thing I do, it's called "thinking". and I look at stuff and I decide rather I like it or not, and am not going to buy something just because a couple of metrosexuals, and old hag, and her odd shaped faced daughter tell me it's in "style".
Then we have Reality TV. Survivor, Temptation Island, The Bachlor, the Bachlorette, The one with the midgets, Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance, just to name a few. And I can't blame the TV stations for making them, I blame stupid people for watching them, giving insentive to the networks to milk it for all it's fucking worth.
Then has soon has I get sick of watching this garbage on TV, I decide to take a drive and listen to the radio. Once more, I am not safe. I listen to the Old Rock stations, and I hear old songs I hear the same 100 songs I heard 1000 times yesterday, so I decide to turn into the new rock station, and I hear the same 500 songs I've heard 1500 times the day before that. Then I turn into the rap stations, and I hear the same 4 songs I heard 2000 times the day before that.
And alot of radio music is just pure crap. Rock isn't rock anymore. It's whiny fucks bitching about there parents with a guitar. Or it's a "hard" rock band, bitching about his parents with a guitar, and going into incoherent screaming when it's chorus time. Then the classic rock stations have 1 song by kiss, 1 by the eagles, 1 by bob segar, and 1 by every other one hit wonder from the 60s, 70s, and 80s that they constantly play on the rotation. Then the rap stations play My Band, Missy Elliot (She my article "Thank You Afroman!" for my opinion on that one), Lil John (Yea!! OK!!! What!?!?!), and Usher. And the amazing thing is people go out and buy there CDs. Just turn on the radio and you can hear it, why waste money when in 10 minutes your going to hear it anyway?
